Patria AMV XP

The Patria AMV XP is the success to the original Patria AMV and was first unveiled to the public at DSEI-exhibition in the autumn of 2013. The abbreviation XP stands for Extra Payload.

Retaining its modular concept, the vehicle has an enlarged spacious interior and a higher payload carrying capability allowing the simultaneous integration of weapon systems, protection and crew equipment.

Patria AMV XP’s electrical power generation is measured to match the future requirements for C4I, Battlefield Management and Situational Awareness Systems. Health and Usage Monitoring System (HUMS) together with the vehicle’s digital backbone ensures 21st century soldiers to have the best possible platform to meet their objectives in every theatre of operation now and in the future.

Patria AMV XP Operators

Patria announced in November 2015 that it was offering armoured modular vehicles to Lithuania, as well as cooperation with the local industry for licensed production. It was not specified if the XP was offered.

Poland is a licensed manufacturer of the AMV under the local designation of KTO Rosomak “Wolverine” and the biggest operator of the vehicle. In 2015 they unveiled the Rosomak XP.

Patria AMV XP Turrets So Far

Hitfist-30P: The upgraded turret is equipped with two Spike-LR anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) launchers, while the ammunition storage system has been redesigned to store an extra 30 mm rounds for Mk 44 Mod 2 Bushmaster II cannon. Learn More

ORCWS: Overhead Remote Controlled Weapon Stations, developed by Elbit Systems, they are Dual-axis and fully stabilized, providing a high first-round hit probability when firing on the move. ORCWS is compatible with weapons of different types and origins including 5.56mm, 7.62mm and 12.7mm caliber weapons and 40mm automatic grenade launchers. NEMO: Patria Nemo is a turreted, remote-controlled 120 mm mortar system. It is an indirect fire support system, but due to its direct fire capability, it can also be used for self-defence. Patria Nemo can also fire Multiple Rounds Simultaneous Impact (MRSI) fire missions where up to 5 grenades are hitting the target simultaneously. Learn More

Patria AMV XP Mobility

Patria AMV XP’s unrivalled mobility is based on an upgraded engine providing 603hp. It is equipped with an unforeseen Integrated Terrain Control System (ITCS). Other optional equipment can be added such as height adjusting suspension.

Patria AMV XP Protection

Modular ballistic, mine and IED-protection system according to requirements. Readiness for future protection technologies as well as future soldier equipment.
